WhatsApp users may be looking to lose access if they do not accept new terms of service. The popular social messaging app will reportedly update their terms of service in the coming year – which will start from February 8. If users do not agree to the new privacy rules – they may lose access to the messaging app.
In its report, WABetaInfo has also shared screenshots which showed that the Terms of Privacy will be updated and it also showed key updates which showed off information about WhatsApp’s service and also how user data is processed. The terms of service include information on how businesses can use Facebook-hosted services to store and manage chats.
The update announcement is also followed by a disclaimer which says that the new terms will roll out on February 8, 2021. The disclaimer also states, “After this date, you’ll need to accept the new terms to continue using WhatsApp or you can always delete your account.”
