Australia had made a great start in their second Twenty20 International against India at the Sydney Cricket Ground. Matthew Wade had carted the Indian bowlers to all parts of the cricket ground and he managed to blast a fifty off just 25 balls. Australia were looking at a good total and Wade had already managed to reach 58 and looking to step up the ante. However, in the over bowled by Washington Sundar, Wade was dismissed in a comical way.
Washington Sundar bowled the fifth ball slower and got the ball to grip away, Wade looked to work it to the leg side but got a leading edge. The ball popped up to extra cover and Kohli leapt a bit too early. The Indian cricket team skipper dropped the catch as he was blinded by the lights. Wade had given up and to his horror, he realised he was stranded in the middle along with Steve Smith. Kohli threw the ball to KL Rahul who whipped the bails off and caught Wade short of the crease.
Kohli, in the celebration, said that he misjudged the catch as he lost the ball in the lights. Australia staged a recovery with Moises Henriques and Steve Smith smashing cameos towards the end.
