Well a 200mp sensor can be supported with 888
Imagine 9 to 1 200mp sensor 0.7um with 22mp 2.1um, currently 108 can do 27mp with 1.6um or maybe 200mp with 50mp 4 in 1 1.6um which in gossip
SuuperBaka, 2 hours agoThe 808 and 1020 are beasts even today imoWho made those sensors??? Sony? Canon? the 808 was made by Toshiba I think but I dunno about the 1020.
anonymous, 9 hours agoMeanwhile a Sony A7SIII only need to use a 12MP full frame sensor, hell, even their FX6 cinema… moreIf they use a large 12mp sensor, they will not have what to market next year.
It’s all about marketing and showoff, not about our truly needs.
SuuperBaka, 2 hours agoThe 808 and 1020 are beasts even today imoOh yes, it still is. Sure that modern smartphones have better flexibility and much faster image processing, but the Nokia’s natural detail and colour is still second to none. Even the oversampling zoom technique is still hard to beat.
wongwatt, 12 hours agoPointless waste of development money.
Nobody needs more than 50MP on a sensor as small as a p… moreYea, I don’t get it. 12MP on iPhones are keeping up, sometimes better than the competition with higher MP count.
Wouldn’t the pixels have to be extremely small since it has 600mp, that would make the readout and af slow af. Someone correct me if I’m wrong, but wouldn’t it be better to have less MP, a bigger sensor, and bigger pixels?
“The ISOCELL 600MP sensor, however, won’t be coming soon because Samsung has to solve the issue with the camera bump first.” To be brutally honest, I don’t care about camera bump. The Nokia 808 PureView and also the Nokia Lumia 1020 proved that hardware physics is still relevant.
That said, 600MP sensor with 0.8µm pixel size? I wonder how many levels of pixel binning would be involved. Also, is it even possible to do a Bayer modifications for 12MP? Because if it’s involving direct Bayer modifications like Nonacell or Tetracell, it wouldn’t be able to get a perfect 12MP resolution unlike ISOCELL 108MP and 48MP sensor.
Mukhammadyunus, 4 hours agoBut iPhones 12MP camera can compete with the 600MP camera 🤣🤣🤣Until you start cropping, hey, where all those details disappear? 😂
Oppaii, 3 hours agoWill that even result to a major change in the details of the photos hmmm?
When 48mp sensor… moreOverall yes, 12 mp is the norm, but compared to the higher resolution sensors there is no competition.
Many people have forgotten how big the difference can be.
I remember when i upgraded from s5 to s7 edge, i was very disappointed with the s7 edge, better dynamic range but the colors were overstated, and the details were abysmal compared to the z5 true to life rendition and much more resolution to work with.
Also we have the same opinions about display resolution, recently I’ve found my lg g5. And man that qhd 5.5 display demolishes my p30 pro. No visible pixels whatsoever.
So yes, 600mp is a little bit to much, but atleast the competition is heating up again. If implemented good than its gonna be killer of a camera.
Will that even result to a major change in the details of the photos hmmm?
When 48mp sensors was announced I was hyped thinking it would bring us revolutionary details but even 12mp iPhones can take much better photos.
Imagine if it was 1/0.57″ sensor with only just 12mp. It will be a total revolutionary in smartphone lowlight photography then.
But iPhones 12MP camera can compete with the 600MP camera 🤣🤣🤣
Remember bro, don’t just huy an phone or get attracted just because of its cameras or one features. Sure it is nice to have an super camera. But, an camera is just an part of an phone. And will you take so many photos all the day and needing to crop super heavily, zoom 100x, shoot night mode, backlight, pitch black? They are just something to rely on. Never buy an phone because it has the best cameras but falls short on other areas. The example is, Huawei phones. The mate 40 Pro+ and P40 Pro+ aren’t worth it, they are just the same phone with better cameras, but costs $200 – $300 more while just adding ceramic to the back.
Anonymous, 10 hours ago??? You are aware that a 600 megapixel sensor with 0.8 micrometer pixel pitch is larger than A… moreKeep trying. It still wouldn’t be as good as a real camera. Sensor and optics counts 100x more than megapixels.
Anonymous, 9 hours agoMirrorless and DSLR are related to mirror.
Not restricted to big sensors.
Current rx100 … moreOil painting look?? Have you even seen photos from reviews on this site?
1/2.3″ compact cameras got extinct back in 2018.
Lol at everyone trying to sound smart but are actually just being whiny children. In the end, samsung still rakes in the money and you all still stay miserable.
