‘Indoo Ki Jawani’ song ‘Dil Tera’: Kiara Advani-Aditya Seal go from 60s to 90s in peppy track


The new song from Indoo Ki Jawani is out. Titled ‘Dil Tera‘, the track is picturised on the lead actors Kiara Advani and Aditya Seal. With this song, the actors have paid a tribute to Bollywood starting from the retro era to the 90s. In the song, Kiara is shown recreating the looks of Sharmila Tagore from Kashmir Ki Kali (1964), Parveen Babi from Namak Halaal (1982) and Urmila Matondkar in Rangeela (1995).

While describing how the song, ‘Dil Tera‘, was conceptualised, the director of Indoo Ki Jawani Abir Sengupta said in a statement, “As a filmmaker, the many classics that have shaped the Hindi film industry. While writing the song sequence, I wanted to pay homage to the iconic looks and sequences from the ’60s to the ’90s.”

Composed by Rochak Kohli, ‘Dil Tera‘ is sung by Benny Dayal and Neeti Mohan and written by Gurpreet Saini and Gautam G Sharma. 

Meanwhile, the film’s stylist Sheetal Sharma stated, “It is a situational song that imaginatively spans the glorious eras of Hindi cinema. References were drawn from the most iconic look of every decade. We also added a bit of quirk to each theme.”

In the film, Kiara is seen playing a small-town girl while Aditya is a guy hailing from Pakistan.

Indoo Ki Jawani, produced by Bhushan Kumar, Divya Khosla Kumar, Krishan Kumar (T-Series), Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani, Nikkhil Advani (Emmay Entertainment) and Niranjan Iyengar, Ryan Stephens (Electric Apples Entertainment), is slated to release in the theatres on December 11, 2020.
