Dal Gosht Recipe | Non-veg Recipe | Tried & Tasted



For Gravy
1/2 cup Oil
2kg Bottle Gourd
1 Cup Chana Dal (Boiled , Cooled & Blended)
1 Cup Masoor Dal
1 Cup Moong Dal
2tbsp Ginger Garlic Green Chilly Paste
5-7 pieces Tamarind
1 and 1/2tsp Red Chilly Powder
2tsp Coriander Powder
1tsp Cumin Powder
1/2tsp Turmeric Powder
Salt (as per taste)

For Mutton Masala
2-3tbsp Oil
3 Large Sized Onions (Sliced)
750gms Mutton
1tsp Ginger Garlic Green Chilly Paste
1tsp Red Chilly Powder
1tsp Cumin Powder
1tsp Coriander Powder
1/2tsp Turmeric Powder
Salt (as per taste)

For Garnishing
Handful of Coriander Leaves

Take Masoor Dal & Moong Dal in a Cooker. Add some water and pressure cook it. Let it cool down and blend well.

In the meanwhile, take a vessel. Add 1/2cup Oil also add 2tbsp Ginger Garlic Green Chilly Paste. Saute well till the raw smell disappears. Add salt and all the other spices one by one (as mentioned in the ingredients for gravy). Let the raw smell of the spices disappear. Add bottle gourd let it blend well with the spices. Add water to cook the bottle gourd.
Add the dal that we blended earlier. Mix well and let it cook.

Let’s Prepare Mutton Masala..!!
Take a Pressure Cooker. Add sliced onions also add mutton pieces. Add spices (as mentioned in the ingredients of Mutton Masala). Add Ginger Garlic Green Chilly Paste. Now add 2-3tbsp of oil. Add water enough to pressure cook the mutton. It takes 5-6 whistles to make the mutton tender (but depends on your mutton). Now let the mutton blend well with the masala. Mix well for 2-3 mins.

Add the Chana dal (which was boiled , cooled & blend into a fine paste) into the vessel in which we added bottle gourd. Saute well. Add few tamarind pieces.
At this point , you can add water to make the gravy according to your choice of consistency.
Also add the mutton masala gravy prepared. Mix well for 3-5 mins.

Garnish With Handful Of Coriander Leaves

And Your Dal Gosht Is Ready To Serve..!!!
